just my type: handmade design

I've always been in the "I'd rather it look a little handmade than perfect" camp. But a little messy doesn't mean it can't still be beautiful! It's messy because it has heart. I want to see the stitches that hold together a design. Sterile design has its place, but it's not my go-to. As long as the message is clear, give me all of the handwritten type, quaint inconsistencies, cut-outs, and brushstrokes.

nostalgic + ready for something old in a new way

I've been on and off the blogging train for some time now. Tonight I'm feeling a little nostalgic for the blog world, and my small corner of the internet. So here I am, again. All images from my Pinterest board Live Colorfully, an oldie by goodie!

As a lover of stationary, I am kind of obsessed with the site Paperless Post, especially the Fall and Halloween offerings....

just my type: colorful quotes

I am obsessed with clean and colorful design.  The first is my favorite--such a wonderful quote.

just my type: an epic wedding invite

As a lover of design and typography, I thought it would be fun to start a feature called "Just My Type" to showcase some awesome online finds.  You know, just because I'm nerdy like that.

Since I am using my friend's recent engagement as an excuse to indulge in my love of weddings (it's a big, embarrassing love), I found this awesome interactive wedding invitation while looking at one of my favorite blogs, Green Wedding Shoes.

If you have the time (let's be honest, you probably do if you are reading my lil' ol' blog), scroll through it.  Not only is it a beautiful work of design, it's also freaking precious.

(Also, totally drooling over the woman's work.  Check it out here.)
