Ban.do has been a source of smiles and fun since I bought myself one of
their red sequin hearts back in middle school. When I wear it, people
say, "I love your heart!" which I like to pretend is a profound
compliment about my personality. I've gotten a few things since then,
and can't help buy be lured in by their HAVE FUN! aesthetic. When their
17-month agenda launched the other day, I had to order one for myself of course. What would my new adult life be without a blush-pink planner with stickers included?

geronimo balloons

So, I am really tickled to discover that Geronimo Balloons exists. Although it's ridiculously expensive, the concept is so simple and lovely that it makes my heart happy. I would never spend $$$ on giant balloons (I'd buy regular ones and deck them out myself), but I am a big fan of balloons, sweet gestures, and making life a little more sparkly and colorful.

Ted will probably be mad that I posted this, but I think he's posted enough awful pictures of me on Facebook that it's okay. Plus... I look pretty bad in this one too.
But just look at him. I miss him so much already. Already counting down the days until he visits here!
Okay, I'm done being cutesy. I just couldn't resist.
Posts to look forward to this week:
At least two more CA posts
A look at my bedroom (if it ever gets clean enough)
An easy DIY project for fortune cookie fortunes
Another embarrassing old journal entries vlog
....& maybe more
gleacup
For Christmas, Ted gave me the most adorable tea cup that he custom made through Etsy. Can you say impressive? I can't even handle it. My favorite touch is that when I finished the hot chocolate he poured into it before giving it to me, Darren appeared at the bottom. I almost spit out hot chocolate everywhere! Ted's a keeper.
pastel valentine
Colette Valentine from anja verdugo on Vimeo.
I love the colors in this! Just lovely. This reminds me of the film Marie Antoinette and Blair Waldorf's ridiculously adorable lingerie she wears pretty much every episode of Gossip Girl (Oh Blair). And what a precious photoshoot! (I need to try to look as glamorous when I craft.)
the girls with glasses
Oh my goodness. I am in love with these two girls. Look at all those Kate Spade clothes. Just look at them. And I totally have that white and gold planner they pack! No biggie (but uhh yeah, it's stinkin cute!!).
Also, I realized that the blonde, Brooke White, is from Mesa?! She was on American Idol supposably. Anyway, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this webshow. It makes me so happy and represents everything I believe in: Kate Spade, colorful, retro, sparkles, happy! Makes me proud to be a girl with glasses.
thursday thrills
A sweet & creative engagement photoshoot. Love!
While I was researching French macarons for an essay, I found this awesome tee.
I remember watching this years ago! Still hilarious.
Have a Valentine's Day crafternoon.
Okay, and my favorite discovery? Portlandia:
Three day weekend! (Don't you just love Civil Rights?)

a tally of two cities
Love these! So clever and awesome typography. Funny, because at the moment I'm finishing up Tale of Two Cities.

love is too weak a word
These posters of one of my favorite movies ever are so sweet. If Annie Hall was on Netflix instant, I would definitely be in the mood to watch it right now. Instead, I will watch When Harry Met Sally, another of my all time favorites (which could probably be expected). Just for the record, I am in love with Netflix Instant.
i ♥ Penguin Books
Nerdiest thing ever, but I kind of got pretty excited when I saw these mugs on a blog. This made me think of another nerdy thing I saw a while back on Cup of Jo--a Penguin Books-inspired wedding invitation! "Unabridged Celebration." Now THAT'S what I call cute.
OH MY GOSH. I was just rereading the information on the invite. They got married in the public library! I am so happy people like this are out there and are in love. Sure does my heart good. And oh my! They aren't married yet---they're getting married next weekend! How lovely!
just so it is clear, i ♥ Jason Schwartzman
Hey, this is so nice (although it does take a minute for the music to begin). I love when designers make creative videos for their collections (like Zooey in Erin Fetherston).
hearts, everywhere
This year for hearts day, I made oreo truffles to share with friends.
I am not so hot at dipping things in chocolate, I discovered.
But no matter--they were yummy! We ended up pretty much having an honorary Valentine's Day party at our lunch table with treats and homemade valentines. It was pretty great. Athough I do miss decorating shoe boxes.
romeo + juliet
While I was in Stratford, I found the most adorable Romeo and Juliet finger puppets to give to my seven year old sister--including the nurse, Paris, and even the friar. To my pleasure, I found them being put to good use today, even if it meant they were dancing and singing along to Taylor Swift's Love Story...
