obsessed: ban.do agendas

Ban.do has been a source of smiles and fun since I bought myself one of their red sequin hearts back in middle school.  When I wear it, people say, "I love your heart!" which I like to pretend is a profound compliment about my personality.  I've gotten a few things since then, and can't help buy be lured in by their HAVE FUN! aesthetic.  When their 17-month agenda launched the other day, I had to order one for myself of course. What would my new adult life be without a blush-pink planner with stickers included?

Easy A gets a thumbs up

My dad and I saw Easy A today (yeah, my parents are the cool, young type).  It was very clever, fun, and completely hilarious.  We laughed so hard.  I would point out specific moments of hilarity, but I wouldn't want to spoil the fun!  I will just say that Emma Stone was great--it makes me proud that she is from Arizona!--and Patricia Clarkson and Stanley Tucci, who played Olive's parents, were a riot.  Loved it!

school spirt & happiness

It's that time of the year again!  I have to say that I LOVE football season.  And basketball season.  And soccer season.  Basically, I am a high school sports junkie.  TV sports?  I can take it or leave it.  But there's something kind of wonderful about high school sports.  Even the kids who you wouldn't expect manage to find their reddest t-shirt to wear on game days and the campus is painted red with spirit. If so much as one or two people don't wear red, they are the ones that stand out in a classroom.  Although my favorite part is being on the field, almost getting ran over by a "plethora of Toros" as the announcer would say, while taking pictures for yearbook.  You know you got a good shot if you're almost killed in the process.  Life is good.

i want to be where your heart is home

Every once in a while I find myself on The Selby, scoping out the awesome homes.  This would be my ideal formula for my future home:

this whole wood fireplace, nature, dog situation
     482349823749823 books and records
+   bright-colored knick knacks and artwork

     Yes please

paper heart

This looks nice. It opens August 14, 2009, which is the same day Taking Woodstock opens. Excitement!
