day-lab.com

Since I have some time on my hands, I thought I'd take a dip into the blogging pool yet again to reveal another site that is notable. I found it quite a while ago, I have no idea how, but I stumble upon these things and it's nice. The said site is dubbed day-lab and has everything not short of vintage jewerly, paperware, housewear, ect. at unbelievable prices. Another plus is that each month the owner donates a percentage of her profits to the World Society for the Protection of Animals, so you can get warm fuzzies as you splurg on those four pendent necklaces that you just have to get. The only thing that can be said negative is that since the jewerly is vintage, some stock is limited. But that's the great thing about vintage I think--most of it is one of a kind and completely unique. Although I do wish these gold initial pins still came in K...

what day is it?

It seems I am infamous for not knowing the date. It seems irrelevant. I seem to think it isn't much of a issue. Well, it certainatly IS when it interfers with forgetting you have permission to sleep in. Yes. Today is late start at my dear school and where was I more than twenty minutes ago? Waiting on the street corner waiting for my friend to appear. I finally resorted to calling her and she kindly enlightened me. I could just be waking up now! I swear I need to hot-glue my Kate Spade planner to my left palm. At least I got in some nice reading time at the end of my street while I patiently waited.

girlprops.com

As I adore Fred Flare and its quirky, affordable accessories, I was simply tickled to find Girl Props, another euphoric provider of fun--and thankfully cheap--trinkets and things. I'm especially smitten with this particular pearly brooch, though I have an inkling I will score more to admire at such generous prices! Of course, I am happy to share the wealth--take a peek. I do admit that some things are less than extraordinary, but there are certainly some real steals that deserve some notice.

I ♥ Planet Earth

I am in love with the world and this DVD set:

Honestly. I spent two hours this afternoon watching Planet Earth while cutting random things out of the J. Crew catalog we got in the mail today and it was enough. I also got a little drowsy---I think it was the soothing classical music/casual bird squawk/old British man voice that did it. Regardless, it was a nice way to celebrate my Tuesday.

decisions, decisions

I'm currently debating whether or not I should purchuse these lovely earrings from Etsy. They're $14, I adore typewriters, and I recently have gotten my ears peirced. I don't know what's holding me back, but I have gotten so frugal lately. I guess that's not the most awful thing, but still...

Running with Scissors

Last night I was fortunate enough to watch Running With Scissors, a film based on the memoir of Augusten Burroughs. I had read the book last summer and was pleased to find the film ringing true of its roots and providing a dreamy array of 70's bliss. It flourished beyond all expectation and has left me quite inspired. I highly recommend both the book and the film if you're looking for something new, quirky, and thoughtful.
